About the course
This program is designed to enhance students’ understanding of the administrative duties of a front office medical assistant preparing them to work in facilities like hospitals, private practices and from home. Graduates of this program will know how to effectively communicate and interact with patients in an ethical and professional manner. Graduates will know how to how to properly perform patient scheduling, handle medical records and initiate and respond to written communication. Graduates will also be able to demonstrate the ability to manage facility finances in the areas of medical insurance, medical coding, daily financial practices and billing and collection activities.

This program is designed to enhance students’ understanding of the administrative duties of a front office medical assistant preparing them to work in facilities like hospitals, private practices and from home.
